Paper Dress

Recently I have been looking at some sustainable fashion solutions. Paper, specifically newspaper can be a great textural detail, and green contribution to an outfit. I am involved in Miami University's fashion club, and one of our philanthropies is with Hamilton Schools. We are helping the kids get involved in sustainable fashion with the use of paper materials. With the help of our designers they will be able to construct their own outfits for their own fashion show, and the winners will be featured during the intermission of our fashion show in the spring. Some of the ideas that we have been looking into for the show have been focused around "going green" so paper will be a great addition to the theme.

Creating an adjustable tutu for any size

Making of tutus, actually a very simple garment, a little bit if ribbon and fabric and you're ready!
If you use a stapler it only takes an hour to make five of these, great for Halloween costumes or dances.

Luxury Fashion Management

Graduate school in Scad looks really promising. The school of fashion is amazing; I'm specifically looking at luxury fashion management. It's quite the change from architecture, doesn't seem that there's a studio but the materials library and accessories room looks really fun. The best part of going to grad school at scad, it must be the city of Savannah. So beautiful and full of artistic inspiration.

Next step:portfolio development and business plan development, can't wait!
